Lawrence and Brenda are in love! Having known each other for years, through their church, they've each endured painful personal loss: Brenda's divorce, and the sudden death of Lawrence's wife. Through it all, they've lived a life of faith and are blessed to find each other. As they plan their life together, they must navigate the challenges of multi-generational drama in their, soon-to-be, blended family. Brenda's father is stricken with Alzheimer's, and their adult children make self-indulgent life choices that lead to unhappy consequences. Brenda's daughter Gia is a successful corporate executive, and Lawrence's daughter Stephanie is a directionless college drop-out, they both, however, share the tendency to cut corners as they choose, to get what they want from life and from men. It is the older couple's foundation of faith that draws their family together and steers them toward the path to a brighter future.
