Testament II: Let Me Sleep Beside You (PB) (2026)

The second volume of The Testaments 1995-2025, Let Me Sleep Beside You explores intimacy, companionship, desire, and the everyday work of sustaining human relationships. These poems move between moments of affection, longing, uncertainty, and reflection, offering a thoughtful meditation on the ways people seek and experience closeness.

While continuing many of the themes introduced in the opening volume, this collection broadens The Testaments through its sustained attention to partnership, vulnerability, and emotional life. Together, the poems deepen the portrait of a writer documenting both ordinary moments and lasting questions across three decades.

One life. Eight books. Thirty years of poetry.
