The Lavender and Montgomery families have ties that go back many generations...back to the time of slavery!

Filled with lies, family secrets, sexual exploits, witchcraft, the atrocities of slavery, and bloodline curses, this story follows the life of a third-generation Black American named Essie Lavender. Born into a family whose ancestors were slaves and practiced witchcraft, young Essie gets more than she bargained for as her curiosity leads her to discover the real reasons behind her family's dysfunction and generational woes.

Although it highlights the impact of family generational curses, this is not your traditional Christian fiction story. The storyline oftentimes parallels real aspects of the lives of many --- especially believers.

As you journey through time from the late 1800s to the present day you, like Essie, will experience insight into what could be causing the often unmerited and unwanted experiences and turmoil in your life.
