The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

You can register with our website or subscribe to our newsletters if you would like to receive updates on our new products, services, and promotions. Information you submit on our website will not be sold and will only be used for this purpose.

We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, or that Y number of men and Z number of women filled out our registration form, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

Our Commitment to Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. When setting your password, it is suggested that you use at least eight (8) characters that are a combination of upper and lower case, alpha-numeric, and non-alphabetic characters (i.e. @, #, $).

Our Commitment to Children's Privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

How You Can Access or Correct Your Information

You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging into your personal account on MahoganyBooks.com. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information. You can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by correcting them in your customer account. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

“Phishing” and Identity Theft

MahoganyBooks will never send you an email requesting specific personal, financial, or credit card information. If you receive such an email, DO NOT RESPOND, it did not originate from us. Although, these emails may look like official MahoganyBooks.com communications and may ask you to provide this information to "confirm your account." These so-called “phishing” expeditions are usually attempts to steal your identity and defraud you. Please forward any emails you feel may be fraudulent to customerservice@mahoganybooks.com so we can take appropriate action.


Author Relations

Congratulations on your book!  As an author, we have only two ways for you to connect.  Any other contact will not be considered for appearances or book placement as we want to ensure all inquiries are handled by the appropriate department.

1). For Book Placement Consideration: your book(s) must be distributed by Ingram Books Group as this is our primary vendor for fulfilling customer orders. If you meet those requirements, please submit your information here: Inventory Submission Form to have your book considered for our store.  You will be notified should your work be accepted.

2) For Author Event Appearances: We'd love to have you appear at our store!  To be considered for an author event, please submit your request here:  Author Appearance Form.  

These are the only two methods for submissions.  Any books mailed or dropped off at the store will become property of MahoganyBooks.  Due to the unusual amount of responses, this allows us a way to process all inquiries.  We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

For Media Requests:  please email media@mahoganybooks.com for any potential interviews requests.  Please do not submit other requests using this address as it will not be responded to.  Thank you for understanding.

Institutional, Educational, Corporate, & Book Club Bulk Discounts

We love working with Fortune 500 corporations, small to midsize companies, educational institutions and organizations to identify and solidify your book needs.  We proudly offer bulk discounts to schools and non-profits.  To qualify for a bulk discount, your non-profit order must exceed 25 books of the same title and ISBN number.

Book Clubs

Yes to a good book club! When people create community around books, we are overjoyed.  Book club purchases qualify for a 10% discount when an order of 10-20 copies of one specific title are ordered.  You can simply place the order directly on our website.  Orders traditionally arrive in 4-6 business days (or sooner).  For larger book clubs orders of 21 books or more.  Please email bulk@mahoganybooks.com


Viewing Orders

To view your purchase history or check your current order status, please log-in to your MahoganyBooks customer account. After your payment has been processed, you will also receive an email confirming the receipt of your order and a follow-up email when your order has been shipped along with the tracking number.

Any customer whose order is found to be temporarily out of stock will be notified via email that their order has been placed on back order. Back ordered books will be shipped within 24hrs of the book becoming available at our warehouse. At which time you will receive an email informing you that your order has been shipped.

If your product has not arrived please email customer service with your order & tracking number and we will assist you in locating your product(s). If all else fails we will re-ship your order at no cost to you.

 


Free Shipping

Orders in excess of $75 qualify free shipping using the USPS Media service. Orders using this service will receive a tracking number; however, their package will not be insured against lost or any damage that may occur during transit from our warehouse to the final shipping address. We do offer insured shipping media mail and priority shipping services at cost if you prefer the extra protection against mishaps that may occur during the shipping process.     


Updating Account Information

At any moment you can update or change your account information by logging into your customer account. If at any moment you cannot recall your password, use the Forgot Your Password link to have a new password sent to your email.
